    • Background Information

  • When I was two, I was making up stories. My family is originally from Appalachia where there is a rich tradition of story telling. I remember listening to stories that had been handed down at family reunions and get togethers. I still remember many of them. This type of oral storytelling goes way back and I believe helped turn me into the writer I am.

    I also had teachers along the way who influenced and encouraged me.

    And my parents have always been my biggest supporters :)
