| On that bleak and dreary September day My love was taken away Now all I have is the memory Of your smile that will always stay with me And your face that haunts all of my dreams I can feel you close beside me Your spirit’s always near And when I’m feeling lonely I hear you whisper in my ear That September Dawn was a time When you were mine And life stood still As memories will Your kiss is only a breath away I’ll be with you again someday Nothing and no one will ever keep us apart You are alive within my heart Even if the sun doesn’t rise On the wings of angels we will fly To an everlasting September dawn in the sky. |
