Q: How can I be removed from the members only mailing list on AuthorZone.com?

A: First of all, it's not really a mailing list, it's a members mass e-mail. This option is available on the sign-up page when you sign up for your account, if you choose not to read though your options when you sign up then you choose to allow administrators to e-mail you.

To disable this option, follow these instructions: While logged into your account, simply visit the forums section, click the 'user cp' button, click 'edit options' and set "Allow Bulletin Board Administrators and Moderators To Send You Email Notices" to No.


Q: How do I upgrade to a Premium Membership or purchase a banner ad?

A: This section is still under development, you will be able to purchase a wider range of ad's in the near future but currently the way that you purchase an ad or a premium membership works as follows:

  1. Visit your "Author's Home" page, scroll down a little. On the left column you will find your account balance. Click the link there to go to your account balance page.
  2. On the account blanace page you have the option of adding funds to your account. You will need to add funds to your account before you can do ANYTHING else (anything else meaning upgrade to premium or create a banner). Currently you can pay with PayPal which allows you to pay from your bank account or with a credit card.
  3. Once you have added the funds to your account, go back to the account balance page and you should see a new option to upgrade your account to a premium member. (read step 4 if you are creating a banner ad)
  4. Now that you have money in your account, click on the "Ad Manager" in the authors menu. Once you are there you will be presented with new options to create a paying Ad.
